Jonathan (Jono) Sosulska

Vice President of Product at Aquia

Jono is an architect, advocate, and engineer who brings a passion for stretching user-centered workflows and solutions across enterprises to his role at Aquia. Here, he supports customers on federal platform as a service (PaaS) services, leads and organizes the Aquia Accelerator apprenticeship program, and drives the company’s product and service offerings.

While always technologically inclined, Jono entered the world of cloud as a career transitioner — bringing his public speaking and customer service background to the IT space. Adapting to the rise of cloud, Jono pursued his AWS Solutions Architect certification and went on to fill roles at large corporations, like Apple and HashiCorp, and boutique consultancies focused on DevOps Dojos.

Starting from basic enterprise knowledge, Jono pushed himself to adapt to the needs of any environment, balancing end-user support with leading operations for a cloud migration. Moving from one operations role to another, he has leveraged an expansive experience that includes continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) systems across multiple platforms and use-cases, focusing on security and transparency. Moving beyond the systems that build automation, Jono pursued DevOps Dojos and developer advocacy in order to better understand what "delivering real customer value" really meant. His passion for solutions that enable a better quality of life for developers, customers, and everyone in between, has led him to his current role as Vice President of Product.

In his spare time, Jono enjoys traveling both domestically and abroad, is a trained and insured fire spinner and safety educator, and enjoys rockhounding out in California.
